At the heart of our yoga practice lies the deepening relationship between mind and body. Most of us are raised to spend most of our life in our heads, but yoga invites us to develop a much wider experience of our being, and opens us to the rich sensory experience of the somatic landscape. Increasingly, as we learn to tune into our body and ‘feel’ the purely somatic and visceral experience of our body being, we embark on a journey that can lead us to entirely new dimensions of awareness we may never before have explored.

In this 2-part online course (plus yoga practice videos), renowned yoga teacher Ana Forrest will guide us on a journey of embodiment. How can we connect more deeply with our body in own practice, and how can we help students develop kinesthetic awareness, particularly for those new to practice? Ana will also discuss, how, as we develop a deeper somatic awareness, this in turn deepens our intuition and develops the foundation for learning to work with emotional stuckness in the body.
