Currently teaching Restorative, Basics, and Chair yoga classes, I believe yoga should be accessible for all people and strive to offer it as such.
A student of yoga since 1997, I began teaching in the Kansas City area in 2004. With my foundation in Iyengar training, my teaching is from a yoga-as-wellness perspective. I lead workshops and teacher-trainings which focus on subjects such as (but not limited to) hand-care, back-care, posture improvement, arthritis functionality, insomnia, meditation, and stress relief.
I successfully use yoga and mindful meditation to manage my own healing and wellness, having daily challanges from spinal surgeries and symptoms of arthritic bone degeneration.
I also see clients privately with scoliosis and other back-related issues.
