I have practiced yoga since 1992, and taught both group classes and private individuals since 1996. My motto and guiding principle is to “Wear a smile inside and out with yoga!” as I encourage students to have fun while developing strength in body, peace in mind, and love in heart. In teaching, I combine physical alignment in poses with breathing, relaxation, and meditation techniques to calm the mind.
I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) 500 with Yoga Alliance, based on my level of training and teaching experience. As I have aged, I have specialized in teaching seniors, and have completed Yoga for Healthy Aging Teacher Training through Baxter Bell, M.D., in Berkeley, CA, and Integrative Yoga for Seniors Professional Training through Duke University Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC.
