Robin Rothenberg

Yoga Therapist, Iyengar, Viniyoga

Robin Rothenberg is an internationally respected yoga therapist, running registered training programs for teachers and therapists. She was certified in the Iyengar method through 1996, and went on to receive certification in the Viniyoga tradition with Gary Kraftsow of American Viniyoga Institute, completing her Therapist Training with him in 2000. She has also been influenced by the teachings of Swami Satchidananda, having studied extensively with Nischala Joy Devi, and has trained with Richard Miller in the use of i-Rest, or Yoga Nidra as a healing modality.

Robin has been training yoga teachers to become more highly skilled in their application of therapeutic yoga for over 20 years. She has been cited in numerous publications for her involvement in yoga research, particularly for her work with lower back pain.

Robin uniquely combines her training in both the Iyengar and Viniyoga therapeutic traditions and her study in functional anatomy, which includes Tom Myers, Anatomy Trains model of the fascial lines and the importance of engaging the inner core to support lower back and pelvic health.
